The new version of the dab:Exporter is the last major release version 2.
Version 2.4 of dab:Exporter delivers the following new features:

• Automatic export resumption after an abort caused by a connection failure
• An external client for complete automatisation of your data access
• Generation of an MS Excel field catalogue according to table definitions
• The tables BSEC and BSET have now been included in the automatic slice generation
• There is now the possibility to limit the export of sales documents according to number ranges by using export slices

You can find out more about PAWS v8 by attending one of the Pentana annual User Conferences. This year's conferences will be held in London on 25 September 2009 and in Philadelphia on 15 October 2009.

New IT Audit Libraries

To coincide with the v8 release, our PAWS CobIT library has been updated to the latest version of CobIT. This will be sent to all existing PAWS CobIT library users free of charge and is available as a chargeable option to all other PAWS users.
While CobIT covers standard processes, risks and controls, we now also offer IT Audit Libraries that address specific environments such as Unix, Windows, Oracle and (coming soon) SQL Server.
These test libraries include scripts that can be run to produce reports of the information needed for audit. We are also now able to provide IT audit expertise on a consulting basis, to help conduct IT audits or make best use of the IT Audit Libraries.
